Paver blocks are the highest-value product a Buildwell plant makes. They sell by the square metre rather than by the piece, they carry a colour premium, and the demand comes from municipal footpath and parking work as much as from private landscaping.
The technology that makes them economic is the two-layer press. A structural base mix gives the paver its strength and thickness; a thin pigmented face mix, laid from a separate colour mixer drum, gives it its colour and wearing surface. Pigment is expensive — putting it only in the top layer is what makes colour pavers worth producing.
Buildwell presses zig-zag (uni-paver), I-shape and rectangular profiles at 60, 80 and 100 mm thickness. The 3-in-1 multipurpose machines produce them alongside bricks and blocks; the BW-123 is a dedicated vibro-table paver plant for producers who want a line committed to pavers.

Paver Block Making Process
1Base mix
Stone dust, aggregate and cement are batched and mixed for the structural layer.
2Colour mix
Oxide pigment is mixed into a separate finer face mix in the colour drum.
3Two-layer fill
The base layer is laid into the mould, then the colour face layer on top.
4Pressing
Ram pressure and vibration compact both layers into a single bonded unit.
5Curing
Water curing brings the paver to its M30–M50 compressive strength.
